Heritage Park of North Iowa is proud to have on display a number of very unique items, rarely seen at other shows.

An 1890 vintage five-sweep horsepower (make unknown) is used to power a 22" New Belle City hand feed threshing machine. The horsepower belonged to the Jerred Ruble's great grandfather and has been recently restored by Jerred. Up to ten horses can been hitched to the sweeps providing ample power to run the threshing machine.

Also in operation show days at Heritage Park of North Iowa is an 1880 vintage Lightning Horse Powered Hay Press. A single horse is used to power the contraption. Wire is used to tie the bales, which is done by hand. The machine is very simple in comparison to today's balers, with only two or three moving parts.

Jerred Ruble's 20-35 Flour City tractor is one of only two or three remaining that is still in operating condition. The tractor was restored between 1962 and 1964 when Ruble was still in high school.

Ernest Hubbell's 15-30 Townsend tractor is another rare tractor that can be seen at Heritage Park of North Iowa. The tractor is normally used to power the Rosenthal corn shredder.

Ron Holland's 25 HP Illinois engine is one of only 6 known Illinois steam engines know to still exist. It is one of only two remaining 25 HP engines that remain. Only 63 Illinois engines were ever built. The engine was featured on the cover of the 1999 Old Iron calendar.

Jerred's 18 HP Greyhound steamer is another rare unit.

Of course seeing Ron Holland's 110 Case steam engine pull his 16-bottom John Deere plow is always a crowd pleaser as is his 30 HP Case Steamer. The two engines represent the largest and smallest of the Case production steam traction engines.

Jerred is particularly proud to own the very last return tube Minneapolis steam engine ever built. Production records show that the 22 HP engine # 6996 was sold in 1913. As far as can be determined, this is the only return tube Minneapolis engine still in operating condition.

Ron Holland's Caterpillar collection is quit the site to behold. His collection includes a Caterpillar Sixty, Forty, Thirty, Twenty, Fifteen, Ten, D2, D4 and D6.

Another crowd pleaser is Ron's. It's mounted on a 1929 Diamond T truck.

Of course there are always some surprises at show days, so you will just have to make plans to attend one of the shows and see what's new at Heritage Park of North Iowa.
